Here at Konflux, we have lots of facilitators covering the whole of the UK.
Our office staff will match your school with your nearest facilitator or you can request one!
We want to help you get to know our amazing facilitators so we sat down to ask them about some of their favourite parts about working for Konflux Theatre.
What is your favourite Konflux moment?
My favourite moment was when I was running an Anti-Bullying ‘Play in a Day’ workshop. One student was happy to perform as part of the ensemble but was too shy to take a line of her own. When the final performance was due to start with an eager audience waiting, a child playing a lead role fell ill. Everyone started to panic but miraculously the previously ‘shy’ child had memorised all the lines and stepped in to save the day! Amazing what a little bit of adrenalin can do!

I would have to say my favourite Konflux moment has to be when a young person surprises you. Just before a performance the group will always get nervous especially if it is in front of their peers or parents. But this is also when a young person can shine. It is amazing to see when a young person just comes out of their shell in a performance or workshop. They are the character, they are making jokes, they are adding movements you as the facilitator didn’t even think to do. And one of the biggest compliments as a facilitator is when a young person at the end of the day comes up to you and says, “I’ve never done drama or acting before but I definitely want to do that again."

What is your favourite workshop?
All The King’s Men ‘Play in a Day’ and In Flanders Fields ‘Creative Learning Workshop’. It is very moving watching young people embrace and understand the First World War and the sacrifices that were made. Andrew | South and South East
My favourite workshop so far is Take a Deep Breath. It's all about mindfulness, and learning to deal with stress and anxiety. I believe this is really important for young children nowadays, and it's one of the scripts I find has the most impact on the kids and the classes. Paired with some great mindfulness exercises, it can really provide children with the tools they need to deal with stress and anxiety and improve their relationships with both people and the world around them.
