World Water Day
World Water Day highlights the importance of fresh water and advocates for sustainable water use. We take water for granted, but there are so many people who live without it, and one day it might run out!
We have gathered some interesting facts about water around the world and some resources from Twinkl for you to use to raise awareness of water equality and sustainability.
So what can you do to help?
Save Water: Take shorter showers or don't leave the tap running when you don't need it.
Stop Pollution: Don't put harmful waste such as oil, medicines or chemicals down the toilet or drains.
Build Pressure: Raise awareness for the issue with your friends, family and neighbours. Write to your local council and find out about how your local water/waste is managed.
Clean up: Take part in cleaning of local rivers, lakes, wetlands or beaches.
Our friends over at Twinkl have a great range of resources that you can use in your classroom this World Water Day, check out this blog of their 8 best resources!
